
Dr R K. Tongia has over 50 years of rich experience with training at
Freeman Hospital, Newcastle upon Tyne, England. He is an M.D. (Medicine
&Therapeutics) from S.M.S. Medical College, Jaipur and M.R.C.P from
Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, Dublin. He has held various
positions in prestigious hospitals in India and abroad. He has been
awarded FRCP by Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, UK; FRCPI by
Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, Dublin & FACC by American
College of Cardiology, USA. He has travelled widely, presented papers,
chaired scientific sessions, delivered talks in various national and
international conferences and published over 25 original research papers
in various peer-reviewed international journals. He has the credit of
starting the first Specialty Cardiac Hospital in the state of Rajasthan.
He enjoys teaching and training junior doctors and has been an
instructor for Basic and Advanced Life Support courses of American Heart
Association since 1984, having trained thousands of doctors, paramedics
and lay people. He is a member of various scientific and medical
societies and was the past president of Jaipur Medical Association.
