About Me

Dr. Anju Soni (M.S Obs & Gyne), Senior Consultant (Soni Group of Hospitals) is a leading Gynecologist with expertise in Minimal Invasive Surgery. She has been a prime initiator in providing a platform to the young and practicing gynecologist to develop patient orientation through surgical treatment that involves minimal pain and faster recovery.

She cleared her PMT in first attempt and completed MBBS and MS from SMS Medical College, Jaipur. She started her journey as RMO in Zambia in the year 1980 and later worked with Kasturba Hospital, New Delhi. Currently she is practicing as Senior Consultant and Head of Department (Gyane & Obst) at Soni Group of Hospitals & Soni Manipal Hospital since last 28 years. She is doing Laparoscopic Surgery for the last 20 years and has got expertise in the same.

As a medical practitioner with 31 years of rich experience, she has performed over 15000 surgeries covering high risk Obst and Gyne. She has been trained under eminent faculties such as Dr. Lerer (MRCOG) and Dr. Shashi Ramesh. She was also fortunate to get the opportunity to gain exposure in endoscopic surgery at the Mount Sinai Hospital, New York.

She has organized and attended many projects, conferences and seminars in past and still is an active member of many projects. Live Workshop on Minimally Access Surgery (Further Forwards) in Gynecology, Total Laproscopic Hysterectomy – Science of Energy, Workshop on Obstetrics & Gynecology Department on “Pregnancy At Risk”, Live Operative Workshop on minimally invasive procedures in Gynecology, National Workshop on Demystifying Urogynaecology in association with JOGS & Urogyne Committee of FOGSI are few of her major projects.

She is a firm believer in quality care and service with patient orientation. As HOD & Sr. Consultant of Soni Group of Hospitals, she strives to provide the services at her hospitals with utmost perfection & concern for the needy. Despite of all her achievements, she believes that learning is an endless process and is hopeful that academic sessions always add to learning through a free flow of ideas.
