About Lipoprotein (a) [lp(a)] Lab Test

Lipoprotein test is performed on a sample of blood to measure level of HDL Cholesterol, LDL Cholesterol, VLDL Cholesterol, Apolipoprotein A1 and Apolipoprotein B in blood.It is performed to confirm or detect Heart Disorder and Obesity and also during treatment and after treatment of Heart Disorder and Obesity.

LDL Cholesterol is < 100 mEq/dl for Unisex gender and for All age groups. VLDL Cholesterol is 2 TO 30 mg/dl for Unisex gender and for All age groups. Apolipoprotein A1 is > 120 mg/dl for Male gender and for All age groups, > 140 mg/dl for Female gender and for All age groups. Apolipoprotein B is < 130 mg/dl for Unisex gender and for All age groups.
