Rambarat

Celebrated before the Hindu festival of Dussehra, Ram Barat is a dramatic recreation of the royal/divine wedding procession of Rama and Sita. Expect three days of colourful lights and pounding Hindu rhythms, highlighted by the 12-hour parade itself, featuring caparisoned elephants, horses, more than 125 mobile floats depicting mythological events and 30 marching bands.

Rambarat is one of the imperative celebrations of Uttar Pradesh, the celebration is essentially celebrated in the city Agra. The celebration commends the marriage of Lord Rama. Merriments are set apart by marriage parade of Sri Ram amid Ramlila festivities in the city. Every year another place of the town is picked as Janakpuri, the lady of the hour’s place, which is lavishly improved for the illustrious wedding to welcome the procession.

The Festival of Royal wedding parade called Rambarat is commended each year in the long stretch of October or September amid the festival of well known Ramlila. The parade incorporates diverse tableaux or jhankis of nearby individuals dressed as Lord Rama and Laxman, mounted on flawlessly brightened elephants.
