Home Remedies for Stomach Ulcer 

Stomach ulcers are open sores that develop on the stomach lining, and also called gastrointestinal ulcers, Ulcers are sores and may develop in various parts of the body, including the lining of the stomach. Stomach ulcers occur when the thick layer of mucus is reduced which protects your stomach from digestive juices. Applying the oil can reduce pain caused by ulcers in the mouth.

4. Turmeric

Turmeric is a prominent yellow spice that is widely used in India and other parts of South Asia. Like chili peppers, turmeric has a compound known as curcumin. Researchers are starting to research curcumin with respect to its health benefits. 

A study in 2013 concluded that curcumin has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects that can help prevent ulcers in the stomach. There are only a small number of human studies. 

More research is required to investigate how effective the turmeric is in the treatment of ulcers. Even so, the initial findings seem optimistic. Scientists hope turmeric can help relieve symptoms of ulcers and treat sores.

5. Yogurt

Everyone's mad for yogurt these days, and with good reason: Most yogurts contain active cultures, lactobacillus, and bifidobacterium that can aid digestion by balancing healthy bacteria against bad ones. These yogurts can be particularly helpful if you are on antibiotics: they replenish the healthy bacteria your medicines have depleted from your body, preventing diarrhea.

6. Don’t Smoke, and Limit Alcohol

These two habits give you a greater risk of developing peptic ulcers. The mucus layer that protects the stomach from acid is also small, contributing to more acidity.

7. Fruits

Polyphenols are found in apples, strawberries, and blueberries. Polyphenols are the active micronutrients our bodies need. Polyphenols are one of the main secondary plant metabolites in fruits and vegetables that are considered to be an important part of the human diet.

Apple, peach, mango, pear, banana, and melon and kiwi fruits are fruits you can consume when you are treating ulcer. While taking these fruits in their raw forms is preferred, you can also steam or juice them.

8. Cabbage

Cabbage is a good lactic acid food that does a great job of producing amino acid and helps to heal the ulcer by promoting blood flow to the stomach lining. 

Moreover, the cabbage rich in vitamin C is also helpful for H. pylori patients. Studies have also found fresh juice from carrots to have an antiulcer (vitamin U) factor.

Make a fresh cabbage and carrot juice; drink a half a cup of this juice before each meal, and during bedtime. To get better results, repeat this for a few weeks.
